About

Suburban Diva™ has been around the Interwebs since 2002 with the debut of the column on Backwash.com. Since then, in addition to the blog, Suburban Diva’s Confessions, and SuburbanDiva.com, I’ve written and contributed to publications and websites including World of Westchase, Newbaby.com, and The Tampa Times parenting blog, Whoa Momma. There’s even been a book, Suburban Diva: From the Lighter Side of the Picket Fence and a brief appearance in The New York Times.

I’ve been dishing up domestic nonsense for over a decade and this new site hopes to continue with the same ridiculous fun served up with sides of good food and drink. I believe that life not only comes with its own laugh track, but a menu as well. As a humor writer and a home cook to a husband, four children, and a myriad of guests and occasions, my kitchen is often where I do my best work.

The recipes and menus I share are a combination of my original and from family, and if I get them from somewhere else, I’ll let you know that, too.

If you cook or just eat, I hope there’s a little something here for everyone.

Please feel free to contact me at Divamail@SuburbanDiva.com or follow on Twitter or Facebook. I hope we can cook up something deliciously entertaining together.
